The billboards were placed at strategic spots: near administrative buildings, market places, schools and financial institutions. It triggered a wide response from both local people and officials. In a follow up, NIA
organized 11 workshops in each of the neighborhoods to discuss in detail the risks of the indiscriminate selling of land, both for individual families as well as for the community at large (e.g., reduced livestock mobility as a result of land sales).
